What a waste of money

We go the new bag from NNDC today. The theory is that you keep it hanging about until you've filled it with unwanted clothes & shoes & then the bin men collect it & pass it on to the Salvation Army, who sell the contents, thus reducing stuff going into landfill. Our binmen very often can't even make their collections on the day they are supposed to!

However, that's not my point. This service is already provided free of charge to the householder by many other
charities including the Sally Army themselves. It's not needed & another waste of money & effort like the way the Tory councillors are chasing after Iceland to change what seems to be a perfectly reasonable shop front .

What we need is better provision from them of things like bottlebanks. To give you an example, although by far the greatest proportion of townsfolk live east of the town centre , the only bottlebanks are in Morrissons car park, on the western side of town. It's not as if  there  arent other places they could be placed, NNDC owns plenty of other land.

Personally I used the pointless thing as a bin liner
